Planning your next holiday?
Picture yourself on the Lège-Cap Ferret peninsula. Enjoy a 13-hectare garden in the shade of pine trees, at the foot of a dune which rolls into the Arcachon Bay. 600 placements are available to pitch a tent, park a camper van, or rent a mobile home or lodge tent.
Your days are shaped by the tides here! Tomorrow you’ll go fishing with your neighbour while the kids visit the natural reserve of the salt marshes. Then comes a day of surfing in the ocean, relaxing on the beach or a cycle trip to Cap Ferret! But right now, you’re looking for some peace and quiet and a dozen oysters. You’re in luck, the oyster village is just next door…
Your true holiday is about to start! You’ve arrived at Camping les Pastourelles.

This is a family-friendly beach, ‘reserved’ almost exclusively for the campsite, with direct access via one of the steps from the campsite. It’s the ideal place to meet up with your neighbours or friends to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing day, spend time with your young kids or settle down with a good book.
The tide can be a little capricious, so remember to check the tide times if you want to enjoy the water.
This beach is a delight at low tide and the nearby channel means you can still have fun in the water. A kids’ beach club is open here during the summer. The club offers trampolines, a swimming pool and games for children (children must be signed up). In July and August, two evenings of outdoor cinema are held on the beach. Bring your picnic and enjoy a film, it just adds to the holiday atmosphere.
The tides can also vary greatly here, so remember to check the tide times if you don’t want to get caught out.
Less than 10 km from the campsite by bicycle, you’ll find two Atlantic-side beaches with 25 km of sand and ocean along the other side of the peninsula.
If you love to have fun in the waves, Grand Crohot is the place to be. A genuine haven for surfers! At the entrance to the beach, you’ll find restaurants, snack bars and a surf school.
To get to the Truc Vert ocean beach, you need to go through a pine forest and over a small dune. A moment of pure happiness (and true holiday) before you even lay down on your beach towel!
And further to the south, in Cap Ferret, the beautiful Horizon beach also has some delights in store.
You are advised to pay attention to the colour of the flags flown by the lifeguards, avoid swimming outside of supervised areas, and be cautious of cresting waves and baïne undercurrents.
